TPI at GLPM

Over the past few months, Dr. Wolk has been providing TPI screens in order to work with the individual’s golf-specific limitations to not only make them a more consistent, efficient golfer but to also help them understand how the body moves and help them prevent injuries.

Titleist Performance Institute was formed by Dr. Greg Rose and Dave Phillips in the 2003 in order to assess how the body moves through the golf swing and determine if there are limitations in a player’s body that can negatively impact his/her golf swing and even lead to potential injury.

They concluded that to be the most efficient golfer one must understand the “Body Swing Connection” and how 12 swing characteristics impact a golfer’s game.

It also notes that there is “no one way to swing a golf club”, there is an infinite number of ways to swing the golf club. However, everyone has one most efficient swing that is fit to their body’s abilities and potential limitations.

Dr. Wolk is continuing to advance his certification along the Medical tract to pair with the TPI screen. Prior to this, Dr. Wolk has been certified in FMS (Functional Movement Screen) and SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment) in order to prevent potential injuries but also treat current injuries and conditions as well.

If anyone is eager to start a new hobby, improve their game or perform at their highest level, we look forward to helping.

Please call (216) 302-0947 to schedule your screen today.

Golf specific review:

“Excellent use of active release to more effectively treat pain. I’ve had back soreness/stiffness for a little while and working with Dr. Wolk at Great Lakes Physical Medicine has allowed me to feel better and to have greater mobility. He is a very process and goal-oriented doctor who works with his patients to help them achieve their goals. I would recommend Great Lakes Physical Medicine for any athletes, especially golfers suffering from lower back pain/stiffness.”
