The third pillar of Great Lakes Physical Medicine's practice is performance enhancement. Our personalized training programs, delivered by certified trainers and utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, are designed to help you achieve your individual fitness goals in a safe and effective manner.  

In addition, the great experience and knowledge that Dr. Wolk can provide, Great Lakes Physical Medicine has one of the most well-regarded trainers in Northeast Ohio, Lauren Federer. Lauren is a nationally certified strength and conditioning specialist with more than 12 years of experience in the health and wellness field. As a former NCAA Division 1 athlete in track and field, Lauren brings an extensive understanding of performance, discipline, injury prevention and scientific training methods. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of South Florida in Exercise Science with a minor in Public Health. In addition, she obtained her Masters in Sport and Recreation Management at Kent State University. 


TPI Golf Swing Screening

The Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) is the world's leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the body moves through the golf swing and determine if there are limitations in a player’s body that can negatively impact his/her golf swing and even lead to potential injury.

Using his TPI certification, Dr. Wolk evaluates the golfer’s physical capabilities and limitations. The resulting physical assessment is correlated to the player’s swing – the “Body-Swing Connection.” It helps a coach, trainer, or medical therapist quickly identify the key area that can hold a golfer back from playing their best.
